Yes an interesting read, article posted a year ago I note but a useful insight to Tivo the company.

Keep pursuing those lawsuits to force license agreements plus team up with the cable operators. They may well see a steady erosion of direct customers but indirect revenues (in terms of not having a direct contract with the customer) are their future I would say.

With very little content ;)

For the average TV viewer there is enough content on freeview, the major difference is the Sky channels and few others like FX.

I couldn't put up with Freeview, personally. I'd have to have pay tv.

The problem is subs are getting expensive now and most of us watch a set few most of the time for me it's Sky One HD , ESPNA HD , Sky Sports HD then most other things are on terrestrial.

Everything is getting more expensive so what are people to do? When this happens people stay in more so they would like a choice amongst other things, But they are all not possible so if you want one over the other move?

I pay £2.10 a day to Virgin for TV, Phone and BB. Good value? I don't know. Would be lost without the services though.
