Re: TiVo

If you make a card payment it goes onto the account straight away and will sit as a credit amount.

Depending on when your install is, this can pay some or part of a bill generated in between, which then means your bill after install would be the equivalent amount higher

So, although you don't pay any more than you would have done over the two bills, the payments go a little bit odd for two months

Re: TiVo

Yes my payments were very bizarre! Last month my bill was in credit by a shed load and this month I am expectinga bill of around £160. Strange the way they did it to be honest, I don't really see the reasoning for it.

Re: TiVo

Unfortunately it's the way the system works. There isn't a way to 'hold' a payment outside of the account balance and then only add it in at the same time as an install

It's the normal numbers, but you get put through to a dedicated TiVo team if you need them

It's a dedicated team, not a dedicated number

faults are 151.. the IVR should recognise you as a TiVo customer, if not you can be transfered.

Because you've only just had it installed. Usually the guide goes forward about 2 weeks

BenJSmyth 22-03-2011 15:20

Re: TiVo

The guide can take ages to populate, days I mean. There is a hell of a lot of data to download. I don't know exactly how long though but that is likely to be the reason for the problem you are having.

cheers i thought it was that wasn't sure tho. i give it a go in next couple of days see if it downloads by then. as my box should be getting third tuner update aswell as something else can't remember off hand. it happening today or tommorrow that is what was emailed to the engineer who installed my tivo

Re: TiVo

So in a couple of days you will be able to review 2 weeks in front and 1 week backwards for any catch up programmes available. Nice!

BenJSmyth 22-03-2011 15:40

Re: TiVo

The third tuner should already have been activated by now. Just leave your box on (standby is ok) and it will sort itself out. When you put it on standy do all the lights go out on the front of the box or do you have a red and green light?
