Was MTV Classic the one which actually played music videos, rather than episodes of Cribs etc?

It was originally called VH1 Classic.

By that remark VM has no room for any more channels if they had to remove 3 channels to add 1!

More than likely there may have been contractual reasons.

Viacom wanted to remove the channels.

Let's just say that Facebook and Wikipedia aren't recognised as reputable reference sources in Academia (just like blogs and forums ;) ).

Know i was not. I meant the only possibilty was that viacom removed the channels So they could launch Comedy Central HD on Virgin Media. End of.

I think the point here is that the channels owned by a company were removed and replaced by three different channels owned by the same company.

There is no suggestion that Virgin had run out of room and HAD to take three out to fit three in.

That said, I actually WOULD value the input of a Virgin staff member to confirm.

But you said, in reply, to the statement "the alternative possibility is?" - "there is none".

Now you are saying there is another possibility....

More than likely Viacom did not want to pay for more streams on VM, but wanted to add their new Comedy Central versions.... hence the decision to remove three channels just to add others..... Contractual reasons t is a very vague statement, care to give us any examples? No matter which way it is looked at or dressed up, Viacom removed three channels because they wanted the capacity for other things.... anyway we are off topic now, so lets agree to disagree.

There are as many as HD Boy can produce from his Virgin Media themed magic hat.

Anyone have an animated bunny rabbit emoticon we can use? ;)
