Looks like Stekelnburg was supposd to be talking to the Fuggers but Roma have pulled out of the deal. He won't find out until he gets off the plane though :)

Time to pop into WH Smith for FHM and a Mars bar before he heads back to Italy.

Yes and one of the Spanish journos say they think he is the 2nd best left back in Spain. Sid Lowe has added:

More positive now it's clear this isn't a rushed buy.

David Beckham will not receive a wage after signing a five-month contract with Paris St Germain, but will instead see his salary paid to a children's charity.

As the former England captain was unveiled by the French Ligue 1 club at a news conference, he described the deal as "unique".

And yet people still knock him.

The only people that knock him are people who are jealous of his success and money.

How many times can one lad get arrested at one club? this had to be the end.

Nile Ranger was brought in alongside Xisco and Gonzalez and all three signed and delivered by none other than Dennis Wise in some of the most bogus deals I've seen in football, most of his signings never played for the club and cost a ridiculous amount in wages and was later discovered he was doing a favour for his agent contacts.

£7m signing plus ~£2m in wages, that's Michael Owen level of value.

good news for you lads...

Nacho Monreal done

pretty annoyed hes the only signing but i am happy hes joined us. it was always 'next season'. now its 'next summer'. big summer ahead. big money available. heads going out but that aside, Bender or no Bender the club can sign. possibly Wengers last summer coming up too, his contracts up in 2014.

Wenger says Arsenal were close to signing one more player but selling club didnt want to sell. L'Equipe say it was Capoue. Sissoko to Newcastle blocked move I guess, price tag increased.

Villa too was blocked by Barcelona. Shame. Capoue + Villa would have been great. A new player in each area of the pitch.
