You only emerge from the undergrowth when you have won though ;) You can join in when you lose as well ;)

have to say we are worse of this season than we have ever been.. we were flatterred last year when we finished second and no one took a proper look at where the club is

very poor on Sat against Reading who have only just come up.. played poor against Watford too and so far we have only played weak teams.. we even played Arsenal without Henry and put in one of the worse showings of the season.. Celtic were full of journeymen and ex Div One players but they gave us a good run for our money

not one player had a good game on Sat and have to say Ronaldo was poor too.. can't see how everyone raved about what he did.. i expect more than that .. ok he scored but apart from that his general play was poor.. when even Gary Neville gives the ball away you know you are in for a bad day

we spent 18m on Carrick and were going to spend 18m on Hargreaves too so that's nearly 40m but we wouldn't buy Torres for 25m or Tevez and Mescharano for 30 for them both

we have a poor squad and no strikers.. we saw on sat that Saha can't last a full season due to injuries and Rooney can't play upfront on his own.. Solsjkaer is too old and not the player he was and Smith hasn't play for half a year and that was in midfield anyway.. apart from that we have no depth and some of the first team aren't even good enough

No need to apologise for beating some of the worst teams the Premiership has to offer.

well it's not 4 straight wins now we lost to Arsenal

we may have won but that doesn't mean we put in a great performance.. Celtic who are basically a first division side nearly beat us.. Watford caused us loads of problems and we only just beat them and we couldn't beat Reading.. we faced a very poor Arsenal side, the only real decent side we have faced this season and we lost and couldn't do anything at all during the match

we've faced the worst teams in the prem so far and based on our current performances i can't see us winning the league.. we have no bench at all really apart from in defence we have no other midfielders to bring on or strikers and by jan when we can buy again it will be too late

Hopefully United will hit some kind of form tomorrow in the away Champions League game at Benfica, but if they put in a performance similar to that against Reading & against Arsenal I don't hold out much hope of winning the match, let alone the group.

Rooney doesn't seem to be on song at the moment, but you write him off at your peril, plus we seem to be missing Giggsy's influence quite badly.

In fact, the whole team seems quite lethargic at the moment, and it puzzles me as to why.

In fact, Judging on the first half performance, it's quite pathetic so far

United managed to grind out a fair performance in the second half, maybe it is that type of performance that will get them back on track football wise in the next match.

Nice to see Smudger make an appearance :tu:

Benfica 0 United 1 (Saha)
