Says they're working on it in my area and will be in touch at the end of November.

Having noticed that the evening hump has gone on the BB monitor suggests they've addressed congestion issues.

Look out for it between January 2016 and March 2016...might consider the downgrade to 150 if it saves £7.50 a month a 50mb upgrade doesn't seem worth it

Still no OPT IN button though.

And a great big bolleaux from me too - April 2016 onward.

Still on 120Mb here, but haven't bothered to chase up the previous upgrade yet, as evening and weekend congestion was so bad until recently that the upgrade to 152Mb would have made little difference.

How long does it take for the process to complete? I've signed up in MyVM.

Look out for it between January 2016 and March 2016. :( London area SE17 ( Area 21 ). Tho to be honest its just a PR stunt really. I would like if they pushed up the upload speeds or removed the upload traffic management. When I do streaming, Twitch/voice chat etc. Always seems to hit the traffic management.

I find it hard to believe they say 90% on people will be able to get the new speeds by the end of 2015 judging by all the posts here from different parts of the country!

Brilliant.. So can't even stream 2 3mbps Plex streams concurrently without hitting STM on a 10mbps upload connection.. Thanks VM.

Wasn't the old 100mb upload speed only 6mb? Going by that pic you are being bumped to 150/10 so i don't understand what's wrong with that, unless i'm missing something you'll have slightly faster upload speed during traffic management than you did before the upgrade.

If I upgrade to Vivid 150 using My Virgin Media, does it trigger a contract extension?

Many thanks.

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades

I would say, yes. As you are making a "change" to your contract and will be updated to a new one. I would however check that with CS to make sure.

The speed upgrade opt in doesn't. If you're changing broadband package rather than just the opt in, it could do.
