DS Forum is saying that Sky are to close Channel One and Bravo on January 3rd 2011.

I can confirm that i have got DEMAND FIVE on catch up here in Barnsley. But what i want to know is the other people who have got DEMAND FIVE did their box reboot at about 8.50 this morning?

Is the NBC/Universal content on VoD or a new channel? I guess a channel would give VM some negotiating power back but then they'd have to set up another subsidiary to run it.

Under the terms of the agreement, these titles will be offered as new content across Virgin Media’s three entertainment platforms; TV, online and mobile. From the 1st December Virgin Media customers will be able to access past seasons of great shows such as House, Heroes, The Office (U.S.) and 30 Rock, whether in HD at home through its TV On Demand service or via its online and mobile ‘Virgin Media Player’ services.

We have had a burst of sales teams from BT (who were very polite and not pushy), Talk Talk (horrible) and Sky (actually I have a feeling they were not directy from Sky but I could be wrong, she talked rubbish though). When they promise you they can save you money ask them exactly how because try as I may unless they give me a particular deal for the duration of the contract, which none of them offered, I cannot see a comparable package for less, they didn't like it when they realised I was clued up on exactly what's on offer. Apart from BT they were quite rude when after a while I 'remembered' I am in a contract until next April! That's what you get for knocking on my door when I didn't ask, I will contact them if I want to like I did with VM.

Playing devils advocate in my experience the VM sales team are no better, I was fed a fair few porkies when I signed up but still glad I did, that's not to say I will stick around if there are better deals though.

I think that he works for VIRGIN as his posts are very knowlegeble and sporadic so he know what he is on about. Not sue if this is correct?
