so as I said above in the end nothing happened at all.

The FIA are still in talks with the FOTA teams but they are all on the list. Shame Prodrive didn't make it onto the list

I think pro-drive was a last minute enry, I think they're more geared up for 2011

26 cars! That`s more like it, hopefully this will increase the spectacle somewhat.

Looking forward to next year more :bump::Sprint::bump:

Now all we need is for Cosworth to do an engine....

And then we'll see the re-introduction of the 107% rule for qualifying to get rid of all the cars that can't keep up.

Won't happen, the grid's about 2 seconds apart on the long tracks. I reckon they'll be within that. ;) USF1's a dead cert, Manor I've never heard of, and Campos have GP2 pedigree, hopefully they can make the same kind of step up that Paul Stewart Racing (PSR) aka Stewart Grand Prix did from the lower formulae, and Minardi from F2 to F1 in the 80s.

Lola and Prodrive missing out this time is a surprise, but they have more sports car pedigree so it's not such a big loss. Lola would be lucky to survive again this time around after Mastercard royally screwed them over.

Manor are being designed by Nick Wirth who was behind the Simtek team of 94. he also worked with Benneton \ Renault in the late 90s too.

Lola aren't the same team anymore and Martin Birrane has setup a new ring fenced company for the F1 team, think they would have done ok if they were let in

Prodrive missing out is definitely a surprise - Dave Richards has the pedigree to succeed in F1, in my opinion - I wonder if there is a 'face fits' issue with the likes of Bernie when new teams are being considered???

still can't see any chance of a breakaway series being formed. Toyota and Renault are both losing money and so there is no way their boards will sanction the money needed to get a new series off the ground. I don't think BMW or Mercedes are in great shape either. RBR will just end up going into sponsorship with Red Bull too.

To get a new series off the ground they need contracts with circuits, they can't use any current circuits due to the FOM contracts. They need TV broadcasters across the globe and that will take time to sort out, plus with the credit crunch everyone is cutting back.

Plus they need rules and i'm sure if they tried to use the current F1 rules they will be copyrighted and so end up in the courts.

They also need someone independent to oversee the rules and series.

ALL the races are filmed by FOM now so nothing the BBC can do until they upgrade their equipment to film it in HD
