hope that the Skyraider will fly again and hope that there are still more P51's in flying condition around the world as they both are wonderful planes :)

No fatalities, plane skidded off the end of the runway and ended up on a road.

Lots of aircraft movement over the last few days over the village..
A few days ago Duxfords Sally B (B17) went out and then came back just north of the village. Yesterday three tiger moths went from ENE to WSW in formation (they go so slow it looked like they'd drop out of the sky. Another two plane formation followed the same path today (didn't see what they were but both same type low wing mono-planes (one reddish the other white) and not flying east towards duxford a low flying WW2 radial aircraft (from the jointed wings and grey underbelly I'd say it was one of their corsairs though it didn't pop up on MODE-S) |

Plane came down in the open ground between Throop Village and castlepoint shopping centre (just south of the bournemouth airport. Hopefully true is that the pilot has ejected.. The planes were coming back to the airport after the display..
