He's probably sold it to a news channel or something and removed it. A shame as it was a better view but this one shows it in a way too:

hope that the Skyraider will fly again and hope that there are still more P51's in flying condition around the world as they both are wonderful planes :)

The video is on the beeb's website or at least part of it if you ignore the commentary

Lots of aircraft movement over the last few days over the village..

A few days ago Duxfords Sally B (B17) went out and then came back just north of the village. Yesterday three tiger moths went from ENE to WSW in formation (they go so slow it looked like they'd drop out of the sky. Another two plane formation followed the same path today (didn't see what they were but both same type low wing mono-planes (one reddish the other white) and not flying east towards duxford a low flying WW2 radial aircraft (from the jointed wings and grey underbelly I'd say it was one of their corsairs though it didn't pop up on MODE-S)

Red arrows crash at bournemouth air show.. No exact news yet

News crews are being asked not to film, that's normally bad news :(

From another very reliable forum one of the merlin helicopters displaying attended the scene itself just after the crash happened.

Update

Quote:

A Red Arrow aeroplane has crashed in Dorset following a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival.

The fire service confirmed they were called to an air crash at 13:50 BST near Bournemouth International Airport.

A BBC producer at the scene said he saw only eight of the nine Red Arrows RAF display team's aircraft land on the runway at the annual event.

They had earlier taken part in a display over the seafront. No details are known about possible casualties.
Update 2

Quote:

A Twitter account for the Bournemouth Air Festival said: "We are aware of the situation with the Red Arrows - will update you accordingly."

Police have confirmed they are dealing with "an incident" in the area although would not immediately give any details.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) also said it is investigating.

The aerobatic team was officially formed in 1965 and has taken part in over 4,000 displays in 53 countries, according to the official website.

A timetable said they were due to be carrying out a display at 1pm before a flypast in Drimpton - a village in West Dorset.
I do hope that pilot is ok.

Unofficial updates..

Plane came down in the open ground between Throop Village and castlepoint shopping centre (just south of the bournemouth airport.

Hopefully true is that the pilot has ejected..

The planes were coming back to the airport after the display..

Reports that the pilot has been dragged out of the river by dog walkers after the plane crashed just south of the river from the airport???

If it is RED4 as reported then it's Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging.. I really hope that he's OK

---------- Post added at 14:57 ---------- Previous post was at 14:50 ----------

Daily Mail suggests it's Lt Dave Davies which might make it to be RED8

The young man in question is my workmates son, he is progressing well but has had a lot of surgery to help him recover.

I have just heard that his face is healing well, although it is 'a bit pink' as his mum says :)

Red arrows incident:

Unofficial rumours say the pilot ejected and is OK.

Lets hope that is true and everyone is ok.
