Also don't forget all games with gold 360 games will also run too, so don't miss those downloads! :)

Basically yes, it will tell you to download it if it works or not, here is a list though of current games this month. http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/b...vailable-games

But alot of the digital games that you should/could of downloaded with games with gold each month do also run, all future games with gold will run on the Xbox One.

To install those digital games you will find them in your games list of the Xbox One right over the right hand side, it can take a min or so to pop up if you haven't seen it before.

Let me know how you get on.

No nothing has been tweaked, it is basically an Xbox 360 game running in a VM, ie if you press both the little controller buttons together it brings up the what looks like a normal Xbox 360 dashboard.

Just posting to say I put my Gamertag up for anyone who wants to add me.

I recently got an Xbox One (My Partner bought one as an early Xmas Present) and I'm pretty happy so far. I love the controller and will likely use it on PC too, and EA Access is brilliant.

Still getting used to the system but the OneGuide is better than TiVo UI in some ways and I get on with the UI pretty well. So far so good.

Yes, I've had a Strict NAT ever since I got the XBox One. Never gave it any thought. However I've recently tried to do Port Forwarding, but gave up on my TP-Link router. Running my SH in router mode, so it's not an issue.

I might give the DMZ route a try, but no too sure about the security of this. I don't leave my XBox on if I'm not using it, i.e. switch off at wall, so it might be okay.?

I've attached a photo of the ports I have opened on my router (Asus RT-N66U) in the "Virtual Server / Port Forwarding" section.

Sometime it does change, but holding the button on the X1 to force it to shut down.

Upon turning on it normally is back to normal.

I wanted to use plex now that it is free so thought it would see an external network drive.

I currently use the built in app although it is very basic and a pain to navigate when you have 100s of movies to search through and i dont think there is an easy way.

Have you also installed the Plex server? The Plex app (client) is no good on its own.

I set it up yesterday, with the Plex server installed on my Mac and the app installed on my Xbox One (and other things).

Watched a few episodes of something I've got stored on my Mac. Worked quite well - better than the native Media Player :)

No I haven't as I don't play movies off a PC they're on a network drive so I am stuffed for now.

There are Plex servers available for different network drives:

Alternatively, just use the PC server and add the NAS as a location for it. Of course that means having to keep the PC on, though.

Cool.

There's still no way I'd pay for the Plex Pass, but the newly free Xbox One app is great. Much better using the Plex server and app than e.g. Universal Media Server and the Xbox One Media Player.

My LG TV also has a Plex app, which I'll give a try. It's older than the Xbox app, though, so may not be as good.

It's unlikely I'll be bothering with Doom. While it does look at sound good, beyond the graphics and sound, it appears to be almost exactly the same as the original Doom. As such, gameplay wise, it's not really an advance over a product that's nearly 30 years old.

Plus, I like my games to have decent storylines, and am not really into the multi player shoot em up.

No COD has both a campaign and obline play, i just got Black OPs 3 and can recommend it! You can also play local split screen as well as split screen multiplayer online.

I think what generally spoils COD for most people is the fact that you'll have young kids, say 10-16 year olds spooling it for everyone else and acting that they are all that during the multiplayer chat sessions, them when they don't get their own way or don't like something, they either whinge like a spoiler brat, or just quit. Doesn't just go for COD either

Is iPlayer not available anymore? I can't find it in the store.

Anyone know if there is going to be a game for F1 this year? A quick search of Wiki showed nothing.

Release date is 31st August 2016.

It's definately available, I had to use the BBC iplayer on the XB1 last night as the one on the Tivo was being rubbish.

Have you checked your region settings are set the the UK?

Re: The Xbox One Thread

Yep it seems to be the UK but when I do a Bing search on my xbox there's no sign of iPlayer.

I've got FIFA 16 on disc, but it is now available on EA Access. If I sold the disc version, will it need to be installed again from EA Access or will it just work as normal?

I think it would still work. But easiest way to test is to try and play the game without the disc in the console.

Do you know, (and I am not being sarcastic I swear) that never occurred to me. What a dimwit I am.

Hahaha.

Did anyone else spot that Fallout 4 digital deluxe version went free last night for about an hour?

Seems to have been a major mistake but I managed to purchase while it was free and so far its still in my games library.

I did see the report on Neowin, microsoft have said they will revoke the licences.

Re: The Xbox One Thread

Well its still in my games list so wonder how long it will be there. Also would they have to email everyone that downloaded it or the DLC to let them know first?

Never seen it happen before on Xbox but both Amazon, Steam and Origin have emailed as they're removing the digital items in the past with a brief explanation of why they have done so. I'd expect Microsoft to email you.

Microsoft to offer $10 credit for revoking the Fallout 4 pricing error.

Tbh. The reason I asked, was purely for the 4K aspect. Scorpio? That's a new one on me :)

The slim is just a smaller Xbox One with 4K video i believe, the Scorpio(code name and rumour) when it comes out is said to be more powerful than the New PS4.5 Neo or whatever it will be called.

Checkout how small the slim is from this video and headover to Neowins front page for lots of other news.

Project Scorpio.

40% smaller. That really is a big difference. They have done away with the Kinect port on the back though!

I am really tempted to change to the new S model.

Scorpio confirmed

Microsoft and Oculus announced a close partnership at last year's E3, but we haven't seen much out of it just yet. That's changing today, as Microsoft just announced a new version of the Xbox console -- one that's optimized to work with 4K visuals and high-quality VR out of the box. Project Scorpio will launch at the Holiday season in 2017, but most notable is the fact that all games and all accessories will work across the Xbox One, the Xbox One S and Project Scorpio.
VR nice!!

I don't keep up to date with new releases so can anyone suggest any first person shooter games in the style of Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, GTA etc? Preferably at least several months old as they tend to be cheaper used...
