Congrats to Casey Stoner in the UK MotoGP.
Solid race from a solid rider in difficult conditions.
Hats off to Edwards too.

Oh - and young Bradley Smith too - one to watch out for. Nice guy.

I bet you were expecting something else :)

I did go on to watch Dr Who (needed to catch up) and some other stuff from sky but the Eddie thing was on while I was setting it all up.

edit - I was surprised at how much better the picture was compared to my old set.

My old one was a cheapo (at the time) £350 one from asda and was about 4 years old.

My dad got me a Toshiba one from Argos that was £200.

Both are 32inch but the new one is much better.

My old one didn't even have freeview built in.

Yes, in August, 5 weeks after the wedding.

Staying at Gisborough Hall so off and about the Pennines & North York Moors...

Can't wait, boyhood dream to drive one of these ever since watching The Prisoner!

@ Cobby, colour me green with envy, that's one car I would have longed to have owned, that and a Gull Wing are the two motors that I have driven and not wanted to give the keys back to their owners.

You really ought to try it. It was when my wife and I wandered halfway up Loch Lomond after a business trip - "Wow!" We've had a couple of weeks holiday in Scotland every year since. Great place (if you avoid the midges ;) )

This is a picture through one of the lenses (the other does the same thing) - this is the polarising filter.

I know it should be black as it's looking at an LCD screen (iPad) - but I'd havev thought the black should be uniform and not with transparent around the edge like it is.

Sasha222 16-06-2011 20:39

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4

Would it be something to do with the reflection of the screen that makes it look like that?

Was the power drill running when that happened?

Seriously though - you're an inspiration to the rest of us.

How is Juliann bearing up?

I think she's calmer than me about the wedding, but panicking as she has a lot on at work over the next couple of weeks...

I'm sure the workload will slip out of her mind very quickly and soon after she gets her frock on.
Right - wet-shave at the barbers and a quick trim organised yes?

She's taking me to her 'stylist' next Friday afternoon to see what he can do with my thinning locks. I've actually grown a goatee as she tells me it makes me look distinguished...

Her daughter is already over here studying Chinese at Manchester University. Her son is flying over from Chicago, but her Mother's in her eighties and not fit to travel really.

We are streaming it over the internet to the states though, so her mum, sister, neice, cousins etc. can see it.

Going over in October to see people & have a party thrown for us... :)

Well done with the streaming. We'll all need a link.

There'll be a lot of celebrations all over the place I bet. ;)

So very pleased that things are going so well.

Nothing wrong with "salt & pepper"
hence the "distinguished" look.
Been there, done that and now I'm serious and experienced, I'd say.
I demand pics :D

You both know what I meant :D
Anyhow - I had to shave it off - it just didn't suit me.

Liking the windswept look, Cobby.
And the goatee DOES suit you ;)

Very intrepid explorer that Cobby, goes well with the Berghaus.

You'll be sure to have people stopping you to ask the best way up the North Face.

Its not like that :), though I wish it was, but then it would probably ruin what we already have :)

My dad's HTC Desire came back yesterday - so I got my old iPhone 2g back.

Although I'm on an android phone now I had a play last night and got push notifications and stereo bluetooth working on it. Gotta love jailbreaking ;)

I am probably going to try android on it later on.

I have had the most extreme 8 days of my life this past week. Firstly my weekend at Beverley Festival started wet, then got drier as went on. Tuesday my girlfriend whom I love very much gets told she's being deported Wednesday lunchtime because she's honest about her intentions to stay in the UK. Then I nearly jack everything in to go back to the US with her and stay for a while. Now I'm numb, drunk and contemplating life with my better half in a few months! Better yet I still have my smile. :)

Keep smiling TM :tu::) After all that\- if you're drunk and still smiling it's all going to be good. ;)
