I only have 'come on die young' which gets crap reviews on All Music. Do you have any recommendations given me liking 'come on die young'?

I think I downloaded a few tracks of 'rock action' in the past, but as I recall, there was too much singing (or trumpets even?) on that...

I'm off to Amazon shortly for more of the esteemed Mr Cash and some Songs:Ohia backlog. I'm tempted to throw some Mogwai in.


Definately worth a p2p. If only for nostalgic reasons :)

Currently listening to: My Morning Jacket - I will be there when you die. Even More worthy of a p2p than The Mighty Wah. (If you're into lo-fi singer-songwriter stuff that is ;)

Too much singing? Mogwai? ;) :D They only really started to sing on their records on Rock Action. :)

Try Young Team or Happy songs for happy people. Mr Beast is a bit more rocky if you know what I mean ;)

Oh: I have to mention this: Anyone interested in singer/songwriter or alt country/Americana stuff: please do check out Timesbold. Struggling artists who really deserve more recognition than they get. It really is Goosebumps stuff (imo), and freely available on p2p provided you buy the album if you like it, which I'd recommend ;)

You MUST get "Mogwai Young Team" which is their first album proper and is AMAZING. Also get "Ten Rapid" which is a compilation of their early tracks which I think contains many of their best.

Mainly you have to go and see them live.

Also do you like track 10 on Come On Die Young ;)
