Read this statement at the VM community forum:
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...508163/page/18 A faulty server is their explanation. That must have been one very important server to have affected every corner of the country! https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2014/11/27.png https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2014/11/28.png |

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Hm! A lot depends on what one means by a server. Could be DNS, problem with a server ( gateway between networks?) or whatever. I believe its just to confuse one by saying server. The big question is why did it take so long to find out? Of course it was a weekend !

Envious of all these interesting graphs. Since leaving VM almost 2 years ago mine has been consistently flat every day without fail :P |
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Censorship server still shouldn't be messing with ICMP...
|
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
It's nothing to do with the IWF / censorship filter.
The censorship kit isn't a single server for obvious reasons, it's a cluster. Suspect they're trying to keep it simple by referring to a router as a 'server'. Only other alternative is that a piece of Allot kit broke, though they shouldn't be wasting that thing's CPU time with ICMP. |

I have the same.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
I had the same TBB glitch but there was no reboot.
I suspect that Roughie didn't have a reboot either. |
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Yet another glitch in the routing between VM and TBB it seems.
