Priority for me is to get BT Sports on, then Drama then any other channel Virgin want to bring to us. Although not more Asian channels please.

What tripe?? Ohh the stuff that this thread is made up of. Everything I've seen reported here or elsewhere is full of the words "reportedly", "could", "would" non of its fact and non of its real. Just forget about the whole thing until either it happens or it doesn't. Don't expect vm to tell you it's not going to happen. For all we know negotiations may have ended but vm will never tell you that as its detrimental to their business.

The debacle with premier sports is a prime example, both parties say the door is still open but neither will change view. That's not a negotiation but more of a case of one trying to hurt the other and ignoring the customer.

Or guessed incorrectly

Wicked and Crazy, I think what the big problem is, that WE the CUSTOMER, at the end of the day has to pay for any new channel that comes along - ie BT Sport or Atlantic for the matter.

VM keep on messing about and alway say 'we are in talks etc etc', and everyone will say, that they have heard this and that. This is what infuriates everyone.

VM have always stated that they have been in talks for weeks, but it has already been agreed with Sky, and UPC/ Setanta. BUT VM are again playing hard ball and want it on the cheap. The people that are losing out are US - THE CUSTOMER.

Say for example - BT Sports, starts tomorrow, at a price of £10.00 per month, its up to us to decide if we want it, its that simple. But VM will pull it if they dont get enough customers after a couple of months, if they are not making money out of it.

Ots like the other day, l called VM and l placed on here what they told me - its that simple. I am counting down the days.

Like I've said many times, the stuff Media Boy 'gets right' is almost exclusively stuff that's announced publicly via via other channels (blogs/websites/forums, etc). I can't think of anything even remotely reliable thats ever come from his 'insiders'.

But Arthur, if VM secured a deal to get BT Sports and ESPN into the XP pack following extensive negotiations, would you still feel the same way?

Good point bud, personally if we have to pay for it I won't be but that still leave 4 big channels missing from the now devalued xl pack.Vm have got to make a decision fast hang our for a deal to place it in xl but risk losing customers and angering others at the Same time or get it and charge a separate premium,in doing that they really have to find then some alternatives (sky Atlantic for example) to make the xl truly xl again
