Jagermeister was originally a medicine - some very odd ingredients. It's best served below freezing - that how you drank it? Makes your lips tingle in a lovely way. I find the floor goes soft too. I first tried it in a dodgy bar in Blackpool.

Currently slurping pear cider. Buy it from Ikea - 95p a can. The other day I paid over £3 for a bottle of the stuff in a bar - same amount of cider, just in a bottle. Someone's making money.

I was charged £2.60 for a 175ml glass of red wine in a pub, recently, when a 750ml bottle costs £2.99 in the supermarket - go figure, as they say ;)

So nobody's drunk anything in 2008 then ;)

An "ASDA Finest" Pinotage here having resisted breaking open the case of Kanonkop. Not bad at all.

Oh nice

Had a glass of this stuff with lunch yesterday:

Bought just the one bottle to try - found it at Sainsburys. It's nice. Bit like fizzy Vimto, with alcohol.

Currently slurping a cuppa.

Tried out a new line from ASDA: Marques de Calatrava Tempranillo (2001 - La Mancha). It's alright but nothing spectacular... Can't help thinking it would have tasted better 3-4 years ago. There are better wines to spend 6 quid on.
