Agreed. The two best teams in the tournament didn't even meet in the final. France and Belgium. Albeit France beat Belgium. Overall they deserved to win. Undeniably beat the best teams en route.
This France squad hasn't even peaked. They've never been invincible during this tournament, everyone was there to be beat if you had the right day but as above I think France really can only get better and that's a scary prospect for the rest of the world. Some world class youngsters in there.
To add actually, just noticed that this France squad is the second youngest team to win a world cup. |
