Who cares. He's just some tool who's managed to turn the thread into all about Telford as usual.

Re: Virgin Media 150Mb Coming 2014
EDIT: Called up and got the upgrade pushed through, he didn't mention anything about contracts to me either, just the new price would be the same as my old price

Re: Virgin Media 150Mb Coming 2014
It states in the post code checker that the 152mb will not be done in Swansea until August 14 - Jan 15. Yet if i log into my account it says i can upgrade to 152 now and call them.

Re: Virgin Media 150Mb Coming 2014
So these last few posts suggest the 'supercharging' is actually done but VM are putting back the stated availability dates to get new customers and try to get existing ones onto new contracts?

Re: Virgin Media 150Mb Coming 2014
Who exactly are people speaking to? Retentions? Got to ring back today and do not want another horrible woman answering the call :(

Re: Virgin Media 150Mb Coming 2014
Checked a few random postcodes in the postcode checker and they've all said that up to 152Mbps is available, so seems to be available country wide, they just aren't telling people this.

. ---------- Post added at 09:02 ---------- Previous post was at 08:57 ---------- My conversation with VM chat just now:- Jonathan: Hi, welcome to Virgin Media. How can I help? Jonathan: Just type your question below… You: Yes please. I just entered my post code looking for the best virgin deal in my street. It says I can get 152Mb. Is that true? Jonathan: I will be happy to answer your question about the Broadband speed. Jonathan: Can I have your complete address along with your postcode to check for the required information? You: 23, ***********, Coventry. CV3 *** Jonathan: Okay, great news - you're in a Virgin Media cable area. That means we'll be able to bring our services to you by fibre optic cable, specially designed for digital services. Jonathan: Your address is capable of getting upto Broadband 152Mb with us. You: If I were an existing customer in this area, on 120Mb could I have that as an upgrade? Jonathan: Yes, Broadband 120Mb has been upgraded to Broadband 152Mb. You: So mt neighbour at number 25 on 120 Mb can ring now for that upgrade? You: *my Jonathan: Yes, he can upgrade the package. Infact, we'll automatically upgrade his package to Broadband 152Mb without any additional cost. You: OK. So he doesn't have to wait until August 2014 the date on which his upgrade will happen automatically. Jonathan: No, our existing customer's don't need to wait for the package upgrade. If there's an upgrade from Virgin Media, we upgrade the package at the same time. You: THat is great. I'll let him know. Cheers Bye!! Well! There you have it guys. You CAN upgrade now. I think this is really dishonest way of dealing with existing customers. Why do that! |
