Why else would they not provide an option to override their DNS in the Superhub firmware?

SFAIK there is still no nationwide rollout of R36 so unless somebody can point to an official VM announcement it's all speculation and probably incorrect speculation at that.

No they haven't, read post 423 in this very thread, Cosham was included in the 8000 that received it as part of testing.

your gateway is the ip address your pc sends the traffic to if it resides on a different subnet to your lan (i.e. a router). For most routers it is going to be 192.168.1.1 or in the case of the shub it is 192.168.0.1. The address is obviously configurable so if you are on a device and you dont know what the address of the router is click on start, run type cmd in to pull up a command prompt. Type "ip config" and hit enter and it will tell you what your default gateway is along with other stuff.

on the old firmware it had default gateway where your IP, subnet blah blah was. the firmware doesnt show all that now unless you modem mode the thing and link your own router

I'm trying to pin point the default gateway also CMTS. the default gateway etc. use to appear in the SuperHubs web interface on R30, like any router which states your connection info but the new firm doesn't
