Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
Thanks Matt D.
Also any anyone confim that they're arn't any new T&C's or anything attached to any of these new deals? I.e. by agreeing to get a new STB or the new speed your not expecially agreeing to a min 12-month contract, or new download cap limits? Basically what I mean I guess is; are NTL trying to screw us over by dangling candy infront of us? |

No new 12 month contract. Download limits.... The 2meg & 3meg services have the same "limits" (guidelines) as before - 1GB per day download. The new 1meg service (previously 300k) has a 3GB per month limit. |
Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
3gig a month i think thats pathetic

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
Hi, I currently have the 1.5mb package, and was thinking of dropping down a tier before the speed increases had started. Is it still possible for me to just get the 2mb service now rather than be upgraded to 3mb?
Thanks :) |

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
No idea, but have you tried the online upgrade?
http://www.ntlworld.com/data-feeds/e...tierMigration/ Or, failing that, you could phone Customer Services in the morning. They should be able to sort you out. |

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
Has anyone in the Swindon area recieved the automatic update yet, reason i ask i've forgotten my username and password to do the manual update (as i've had broadband since NTL started doing it, and really didn't think to keep it).
:dunce: Just wondered, because if the update has been applied then i'll need to give c/s a call in the morning as mines still stuck at 750k. cheers |
Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
I live in Cambridge and the automatic upgrade (http://www.ntlworld.com/data-feeds/e...tierMigration/) worked for me straight away, upgrading from 750 kbs to 2 Mbs. I didn't notice any loss of service while the modem rebooted, and a speed check at http://speedtest.tds.net/speedtest/ confirmed the upgrade had taken place. A really nice service!

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
I live in the Ipswich area; I phoned NTL and they tell me I have to wait for a letter through the post but I read on here people are phoning up and getting upgraded?
I tried to use the upgrade links on ntlworld.com but it gives me the error "An error has occured whilst trying to retrieve your mailbox details. ( WrongSecurity in page validate). If you need further help, please contact our customer support (0800 052 2000). " Any help/ideas? |
