It seems if you force a network download (Help & Settings > Settings > Network > Connect to the Virgin Media TV Service now) it'll prompt TiVo to connect them to the EPG

I've noticed some things on TV on demand that are not on the Tivo Box like my V+HD box.. is this normal or should they both be the same?

At the moment there are probably some differences as iPlayer VoD has just returned this week. However normally they should be identical

Hey guys, i'm a bit overwhelmed by all the TIVO information but was hoping someone may be able to help me here. I currently have 1 V+HD box downstairs and 1 VHD box upstairs, I was wondering what the cost would be to upgrade the V+HD box to the 500GB TIVO box whilst moving my current V+HD box in place of my VHD box. I'm on the VIP service.

Many Thanks for any help.

£49.95 and possible £3 a month if you aren't on VIP 50

Woohoo having my second box installed today for the bedroom not sure now if I should have gone for a 1TB in there too instead of the 500GB.

Well that was a lot quicker then the first one, he left it doing the last download couldn't have been more then 35-40 minutes.

Quick question just setting up the remote to control the TV as well, while it can control the volume it doesn't seem to put it into standby. should I be able to do this?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

Yup, holding down the power button should turn off the TV. If it's not working it may be a different remote code you need

Ah you have to hold it down to power of rather then just press? Will give that a try.

If that does not work it means that you are using the wrong code. There are some codes that will just enable volume control but no standby control. Just keep searching and you will find a code that does both. It took me a while to discover this.:)
