Mark supermarkets tend to advertise for the Christmas period staring from September through to November they usually say the post is for a temporary basis but saying that many do get kept on if they show that they are a good worker.

Also in relation to your current employer you do have rights even on a zero hour contract.

You can claim the milage from hmrc, form P8700 iirc

Can I claim it though? I don't actually drive, I just sit in a van and get driven to jobs.

Also weenie, I am looking now for a job with more regular hours as they are taking the absolute Mickey Thomas. Someone suggested to me that I email HR on Monday to see what they can advise.

Sadly I predict a large vets bill as my poor dog is not too good at all so will have to make him an appointment asap. Over the last week he just seems to be off his food and let's just say his toilet is not good at all :(

Filling out forms. Especially as I can't see the firm and have to rely on Natalie to do it for me.

Even Einstein would have had trouble with these forms.

Logging in to the EDF website to put in a meter reading. They now have an extra capcha stage where you have to tick images that have a certain character such as a car in them. Bleeding thing! It took me 7 or 8 goes to get in. If there's any reason to change supplier this has to be top of the list: Stupid websites.

Sadly den we don't we used to have pet insurance but the premiums kept going up and when they wanted £80.00 plus a month yes a month once he reached 10 we then decided to cancel. We were also advised by our vet because our dog is slightly overweight they might not pay out for certain conditions :(

What we do now is we have a savings account on where we put money away each month so we should be covered for a while. I know this may sound bad but I would not do what many I know have did and pay out thousands for a operation that will only give my dog a extended period of say 6-12 months.

When the time comes which I'm dreading by the way then we will way up the situation and if it is going to give him a better quality of life & high percent of cure then we will go for. I will not do what we did with our first dog and that was we kept him going for as long as possible but looking back this was selfish on our part and the only excuse I can give is we were young and naive as we took out a loan that we were still paying long after our first dog had passed, the only thing I would still do the same and I have no regrets at all doing is we paid for him to get cremated separately and his ashes returned to us I think that cost alone just over £100 and that's going back 15 years ago.

I had to laugh today when I phoned for a vets appointment and they said tomorrow at 5pm and can you bring a urine sample as that is one of the reasons why were taking him is he can't seem to pee atm among other stuff, so I really do not know how I'm expected to do this I think I may leave this job to hubby ;)

I get this sometimes on a plain old Google web page. Seriously? You need to prove you're human to use a search engine??

Thanks TD don't know if the dogs trust would pay for treatment I think if they did offer this service it would be means tested therefore hubby would more than likely earn too much.

Damn it to Hell. Because I switched jobs yesterday without anyone being told, I have now had a PCR added to my personnel file. A PCR is a Performance Counselling Record, in other words it's a record of me being absent from work. I am so angry about it. Don't think the manager will be able to help me get it off my file though, as I don't see why I should suffer when it wasn't my fault that I was moved to her job.
