Its everyone Martin on vm. One of the telehouse routers is playing up it seems.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Snap... We've got peak-time congestion on our TiVo modem which I believe uses a different part of the network (DOCSIS1?).

Oh wow, that's not good! I'll check my monitor when I get home but I suspect I'll see the same in Bedfordshire. I wonder what's caused it.

Very relieved to see those bumps on other peoples snap shots. Just had a look at mine before I came on to this thread and did a double take. Thank goodness you guys had already noticed it as I was imagining all sorts of dire problems. < Jo exits worrywart mode> :D

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Ah where's craigy's compositor site when you need it...
Still. I'm surprised to see so many people (practically 100% of posters) affected by a single node being fux0red on VM's network, BT has at least a half dozen ways into LINX for example. The appearance would suggest a link going down at 1am and failing over to a much lower capacity path and remaining there. Or perhaps autonegotiation cocked up and a 100GbE pipe decided to cut itself down to 10GbE (Does that even happen? I've never worked with >10GbE myself, but I know 10GbE transcievers *can* revert to 1Gbps) |
