How much money are we talking? I guess it's not the money but BT does not want a precedent to be set.

It seems both parties had a valid point. For me Hibs should of allowed BT to show the game without demanding a one off fee. Those of us who love the game were punished(or not as I have no idea what the score was or whether the match was good or bad)

The war for sports rights has only just begun as the big PL football rights fight will show in the next year.

Oh god imagine if bEIN sports get some games off the next PL auction along with BT sports and sky sports with a much reduced allocation. BT sports would cancel their deal with VM for BT sport in XL package as they'd want more money. bEIN sports would charge for PL games too and sky sports would stubbornly refuse to reduce their prices quoting "inday volleyball rights and a host of new sports..."

Everyones prices would go up. Sky sports would be banging their drum excitedly for meaningless sports and "exclusive rights", Michael owen would be smirking and rubbing his hands on BT sports with in his inane and awful commentary and on bEIN sports richard keys and andy gray would ride back onto our tv screens on magnificent white stallions proclaiming some tacky line such as "sport and football will never be the same!"

Oh dear.

New TV deal for next season for SPFL.

Gary Neville is BT Sport's prime target as they look to share Sky pundit for Champions League coverage.
