Let’s face it, they are just cheap and cheerful channels. I don’t think they will last that long in the end.

A bit like half the two bob streamers with no viable business model.

One of Sony FAST channels on LG Channels & Samsung TV Plus has Breaking Bad on it currently...

They bring in ad revenue so will last imo

A lot more decent stuff on the streamers than on any channel, although I suppose it depends on just how much dumbed down material you want to watch!

Only really watchable if you go to the on demand section of the system. Good luck if you want to watch all the episodes of all the series in sequence in one go by watching the channel!

You can show as much “decent” television as you want with a failing business model until you can’t pay the bills. Plenty of quality on Sky, BBC, ITV, etc. Viewership and sustainable funding models the steamers can only dream of.

Quite a few changes overnight.
Sky Arts SD has closed and the HD version is now available to all customers.
Eurosport 3 HD through Eurosport 9 HD pop-up channels are now in pre-launch configuration, presumably for coverage of the Olympic Games.
More details of these and other changes at https://ukcabletvchanges.blogspot.com/

Strange that they have removed the SD version of Sky Arts and made the HD version available to all, but haven't done the same with Sky News.

The Sky News SD satellite feed is still available, hence VM are still using it. The Sky Arts SD feed has been removed.

Sky Arts SD is still available on Sky and Freesat so that can't be the reason why it was removed.

Possibly because Sky still want to treat Sky News HD as a premium product.

Re: Virgin TV (2024)

Channel 4's departure from the music section will clear space for Virgin to add all of vevo's FAST music channels if they so wish, rather than just the one previously proposed.
