They will continue to lose millions because the new version of top gear will never make that sort of money again. |

Re: Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday
The last ever Top Gear will be shown tonight. (I now it carrying on but the show has in my eyes ended)
It is expected to be the biggest viewed ever. I only hope the trio don't go to Netflix, as I won't buy a subscription for one program. |
Re: Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday
Hammond and Clarkson both say they won't watch it as they feel the final editing was rubbish.

Some say the Beeb had a vested interest in making the final show look poor so as to make it seem past its sell by date and make the new format look like an improvement...
... and on that bombshell... :) |

I liked the elephant in the room.

Re: Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday
I noticed the elephant right away lol.
However I also noticed that it was not the usual studio, but a smaller room with as many of their 'props' squeezed in. Hammond and May also didn't look to happy or comfortable at all. |
Re: Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday
B-b-but the format was getting really tired...
There's only so many fourth form jokes you can do before things get stale. Don't get me wrong, I think they did ok for a long while but it all became a bit of a yawn. The show needs a nice bit of crumpet on it to keep me awake. |

Trouble is, for all the faults of Clarkson, Top Gear is not going to be the same without him.

There was the overweight, overpaid punchy one who was ignorant to just about everyone; the little one for all the 'I'm little' jokes (gawd) and the other one who 'was-his-own-man-and-did-things-his-way-no-matter-what-the -others-thought-of-him' (yawn). Do they all still live with their mums? It was a very tired show. Like Eastenders or Coronation Street. Why do the British public like to make institutions out of things? Change is good. Go ginger! |
