I think Virgin has to axe three MTV Channels for Comedy Central HD to launch. Or MTV Shows, MTV Classic and MTV +1 has poor viewing numbers.

I think that many must be turning to illegal downloads because of the exclusivity of HBO shows on SA:

No most do it because they think they can have it all for free, if they can download they obviously have access to internet so why not just get nowtv?
It's people that want want want but don't want to pay for it, reminds me a bit of vm in a way. :p:

. :p:

If Now TV had all back seasons available all the time, it would be great. But they don't.

HBO Nordic does and that is the service the rest of the world needs. Fortunately, HBO are going to start providing that, starting in 2015. Let's hope that Sky's deal with HBO until 2020 doesn't screw it up for the UK.

It is interesting that the head of HBO brags about GOT being the most illegally downloaded show.

I was told today, by a virgin media salesman. That they will not be getting SA or ITV encore under circumstances. And that by are preparing a takeover bid for Sky.

Biggest load of bullcrap i've ever heard, SKY are not nor never will take over Virgin media. ITV encore is coming this year at some point.
As for Sky atlantic who knows?
Also VM will not or ever will take over sky.
The one you have to watch over the next few years i think is BT and Netflix.

I think there is an outside chance that people tell you things in jest, and you take them seriously.

Sky to take over virgin media or virgin media to take over Sky? Sky wouldn't take over virgin media as it'd likely be blocked by government. And virgin media would never be able to afford Sky as its a pan European organisation. I doubt even the British government could afford to buy Sky europe...
