Also don't have a slow menu problem. The only menu I have experienced extreme slowness is when rearranging series link priorities and that's because it has to go through the whole list and guide and reprioritise. It's a pain but there's a reason. I've never had an issue otherwise and at one point after being away for three weeks I was at 95% full. I'm consistently at about 60%. This is the full size TiVo. So full hard drive isn't necessarily the cause of slow menu response. So while I'm not doubting the problems I'm just saying they're not affecting everyone. |

Don't you feel pretty sad making numerous forum accounts, all for the same reason; to humiliate yourself?

Re: TiVo Picture Quality
Have VM acknowledged this as a problem with the Tivo yet and is it possible for them to fix it with a Tivo update?
I've got used to the reduced picture quality now but I was round a friend's house this weekend watching the NUFC Arsenal game on his Logik 32" 720p and SA V+. It reminded me of the picture quality I had when I had the SA, it looked amazing compared to what I've got used to. I'm now watching MOTD in HD on my Samsung 32" 720p and the picture quality is more like SD. It's so disappointing, but I'll get used to it in a few days again I suppose. |

I'm glad it was in SD, I thought the HD had got even worse! |

Re: TiVo Picture Quality
That's a good point, DF. If you've got a poor HD picture, something else is wrong. Also I haven't heard of anyone with a 720 line TV being able to see the SD upscaling problem. (I can't on my 26" Samsung)
If there's a SCART lead plugged into the TiVo, unplug it to make sure you really are using HDMI. And check which resolutions you have selected in Settings->Video Output->Video Output Format - maybe you'll need to experiment with various combinations to get the best picture for both SD and HD. Failing all that, give VM a call. |
Re: TiVo Picture Quality
just had tivo installed. First channel pulled up the picture quality is awful.
very disappointed. I thought I was upgrading my box not downgrading it. |
