Indeed, unfortunately this is a frustrating method as it takes so long for HBO series to come out on DVD/Blue-Ray.

March for Game of Thrones season 1!!! As a Geroge R R Martin fan I am desperate to get my hands on this, having only watched it once at someone else's house - will be gutted/livid if VM don't have a deal by the time season 2 comes about, though I'm aware that's most likely to be the case.

HBO seem quite quick to get my favourite out in reasonable time "curb your enthusiasm" i bought the entire box set and it now includes the latest series i think, which i had to buy extra as i have had my box set some time .

Really surpised they do not bring out other stuff more quickly.

The cynic in me thinks that might have something to do with the fact that you don't need Sky Atlantic to watch Curb.

What does that even mean?! That you think Man U aren't doing well, or that subscribing to the channel is a bad idea?

If you're going to post at least inject some content. Emoticons are meant to embellish something you're written; if there is nothing but emoticons then the post has no content and is totally pointless.

And is Challenge included in freesat from sky, the website dosen't say so?

Challenge and Challenge+1 are now free to air on Astra 28.2E, so if you own Sky box you can watch bullseye to your heart's content if you're like me who watched it when I was in my 30's and thought it was dead boring but now I like to watch it at 50 years of age.

At the risk of opening old wounds, but seeing as how this thread has just had a bump, is Game of Thrones, currently being used as a bit of a loss leader on Sky one, as good as it gets on Atlantic?

Give us an inclination of the shows you like to watch on tv otherwise your post seems pretty pointless as each individuals tastes will differ.

OK, well sex, violence and political intrigue would normally win the day, whatever the backdrop, but for some reason I'm struggling with this show - I think I was expecting more from what I guess Sky consider to be the channel's flagship show, and, to be honest, the point behind my post was really to see if people think it's worth persevering with, rather than a comment on the quality of the channel's output as a whole. The wider point, however, is that if that output is as varied as your post would appear to suggest, then perhaps Sky need to do a little bit more to convince an audience with equally varied tastes. As it stands I still haven't seen anything to convince me and, as somebody who was genuinely looking forward to being convinced, and even paid for an episode on Blinkbox when a recording clash meant I missed one, I just find I'm a little... disappointed.

FWIW, my favourite shows I've seen this year are the Tudors (on demand, missed it first time round) and currently Walking Dead. I really should get GoT, right?

I always give shows 3 or 4 episodes if they haven't grabbed me I delete the series link , may be an idea to move on.

Flagship or not , if you don't like it you don't like it , it's not my absolute favourite on the channel however with an IMDB score of 9.4/10 clearly some love it.

Unfortunately it doesn't always work like that , I like Blue Bloods (US Cop drama) so you'd naturally think I'd like Unforgettable on Sky Living HD however I don't.
