Isn't the ITV HD issue tied up with getting the Competition Commission to change the formula which regulates advertising rates to ITV1 ratings?

ATM, if ITV launched ITV HD and ITV+1, these would technically count as separate channels and ITV stand to lose ad dosh if lots of people switch to them, even though they would (presumably) carry the same programmes and ads as ITV1.

I read somewhere this is supposed to be sorted 'later this month' (February), we may then see ITV HD (and ITV1+1) appear fairly quickly on Sky and Virgin.

Some being the important word here. Its Eurosports biggest HD event of the year and we will miss it

I also prefer the amateurish (in a nice way) manner of the Eurosports winter sports comentators

Without been ungrateful, you wait ages for HD channels & they just annouce Eurosport HD, was really hoping for Sky Sports HD :(:(

Can anyone on the L pack tell me if Sky Real Lives (Channel 281), Sky Arts 1 (Channel 284), Kiss (Channel 336) and Magic (Channel 340) has all appeared on your package?

Looks like my predictions regarding the new HD channel were correct, having said either Eurosport or E4. Not surprised it wasn't ITV HD, not sure why people are expecting it just yet.

Do Eurosport still do the World Cup? It will be a nice addition if they do as they normally cover all the games.

I'm assuming you mean 'will they ever get the Sky HD channels', in which case the answer is most likely, one day. But not any time soon.

Regarding Eurosport showing the World Cup, do you mean the football World Cup? If you do, then no, only ITV and BBC show it.

I'm happy about Eurosport HD, was hoping for ITVHD too though :( Shame we have to wait upto 3 months for it though.

Thats a shame they have shown it in the past and I have enjoyed their alternative commentary.

Looks like April is go for VM and I suspect as we get closer there may be a few more announcements, like posted above no one is going to announce any deals before they are signed sealed and delivered.

Any VM insiders know when we might get our first peek at the Tivo software?

Eurosport HD may show it after all Eurosport HD broadcasted the Europe vision of Eurosport and not the UK one.

Isn't Eurosport HD the same as the European version or do they now have a dedicated British channel without blackout windows for things that they do not have the rights for in the UK?
