Everyone should watch the excellent educational documentary 'Idiocracy'. It's an interesting insight into the dumbing down of society, and a glimpse into our future.

It's on Sky Movies Comedy tomorrow.

The rebranding of all these channels is really starting to take the biscuit.

HD Channels on Virgin TV update:

I have just been looking at DS Forums and I have found the following rumoured:

-A&E are currently in negotiation with VM to take at least one or more of their HD channels. They are History HD, Bio HD and Crime & Investigation HD

-VM Sales dept says we're getting ITV HD, Discovery HD and Sky1 HD within the next Month.

Well if the channel are saying they are negetitioing it is a bonus ;) means we know they are trying to get them, but i dnt beleiv for one secodn the sky1 hd is true seems more like a sales rep saying anything to get the person to stay or sign.

Thanks for the good news MB. It's something to hope for at least. I don't have a HD TV or V+ Box yet but if it ultimately keeps the HD junkies quiet in the forum then it can only be a good thing. ;) Although I see some comments from the dissenters already!

please list the 'loads' of HD programs currently available on Freeview & ITV ??

please explain what you mean by Blu-ray out 'in full' - my Blu-ray player is quite capable of playing 'full' 1080p movies, thanks ???

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009) in HD

My understanding was that most programming has been made in HD for several years. That being the case, I would expect that channels such as BBC, ITV etc. and Discovery, History, Nat. Geo. etc. would have huge libraries of HD content. Am I mistaken? Perhaps I'm thinking of widescreen rather than HD. :dunce:
