Hi Rammy.

It has been suggested that you deserve an award for your efforts and success.

So here is an award I may extend to others in the future. :D

Never mind all that jazz with 03, run 3D Mark 05, my last result was 6073, with the system you've built you should easily surpass that.

Some of you may remember that when I booted this PC up for the first time nothing happened till I swapped the RAM onto the other channels. I have swapped the RAM back to the original channels and it still works fine now
........btw, should I get another 1gig of RAM? Would it make any difference?

The more RAM you have installed the better the PC will run and you'll be able to run more applications on it simultaniously.

Re: Building my own PC

if you want to run dual channel you have to have the same amount of ram on each channel ie channel 1, 2 x 512 channel 2,1x 1 gig,I am not sure about your board but on a few ive seen if all 4 slots are populated the ram speed drops to 333

64 bit xp loves ram the more the better :)
