Here's my pathetic attempt at making one of my cases look similar to a pikey's house at Christmas.

(images have been compressed a bit too much, sorry)

Is that an "Antec" case? Looks the one I've got! NEC1300a DVD writer as well! You're not squatting in my 4th bedroom are you?

Only kidding, I never wanted to put a coloured fan in mine; the case with the clear side was cheaper than the same version without it! But I thought, what the heck....................

(pictures coming soon!)

This is my gaming machine, I recently(ish) sold a P4 setup and bought an Athlon 64 for work which I've moved into an old Chieftec case, turned out I could offset it against last years personal allowance and claim it back somehow against my income tax, the receipts come to over a grand but by the time I'd finished hawking the old parts on Ebay and to friends the actual cost was more like 50 quid so everyone but the IR is a winner!

Its a GA-7VAXP But I am thinking of upping it to a SATA enabled board (Gigabyte of course- I have built 2 PC's with Gigabyte boards and used Antec cases for both - this one and the wife's, I like that arrangement!) :)

It is lockable, but now I have had to fit a lock to the office (read 4th bedroom) to keep the kids out! My tools, torches, etc go walkabout  But I also keep my cameras in there, I don't want them playing with those!

Good boards, go for the 7n400 pro if you have to stay with Gigabyte, though I'd recommend the Asus having had Gigabytes in the past, used to have that exact board, did you know that it underclocks PC3200 due to an incompatibility with the motherboard and actually provides a higher memory throughput if you set the 3200 to 166mhz?

It was a toss up between Gigabyte and ASUS (on recommendation) so either would do for the future. I am only running 1Gb of PC2700, so I should not have that incompatibility problem. I am only a relative newbie to home building, this is my 2nd (of 3 homebuilt), but it is evolving all the time (as funds allow of course)

Currently trying to get an older laptop to run to a higher spec than supplied, to use as a mobile storage and manipulation device whilst out and about with my Digicam (SLR). I am happy with what I have done so far, just need to find out if I can up the graphics on it. I have seen adverts for Dell components (eg Graphics cards), but not sure if my one will take the newer parts! (Is it onboard or what? Have to ask around I suppose) I am happy with what I have for stills use, but need better graphics to play DVD's when away from home/on holiday etc. Current play back = cr@p!

Okay, I can't believe how tidy everyone's computer desk is. My whole room looks like it has been bombed!!!

I think that's why I've been banished to a room on my own. Of course, this has only encouraged me to be even more messy.

And, yes, the PC does look crap!

Different jobs. Some are web servers and some file servers....

The whole system runs in clustered mode to so if one goes down the others take over the service.
