I am going to have to print off a guide as it seems that most of them have changed.

I just wish they had let us know as it seems some people were told and some like me were not

With the letter I received there was a booklet listing all the changes, hopefully everyone will get both in due course.

We've not received anything up here in York yet regarding the "Big Bang" changeover of numbers either, but as we're not due to switch across until the end of September I won't be suprised if we don't get the letter and leaflet unit the day before it actually happens.

Its nice to finally see some logic being applied to the numbers and good that ntl: listened to what people had been saying for a long time about the chronic mess the EPG's had got into. The only shame is that we lose the 1, 2, 3 digit numbering that we'd got used to on Bromley side.

Now, all we need is for some of those obvious gaps (Sky Three, Performance, Sky Movies 10) to put in appearences on the EPG on the ntl/cwc side of the network. Wonder how long that'll take?

I must say that I am amazed that ntl ahs placed the adult channels betwene films and sport. Surely they should be at the end of the EPG?

Re: Channel ReShuffle

But if they're near the end, they're also near the beginning - four CH- keypresses gets you from BBC ONE to an adult channel on the current Sky channel plan, or just two on the current ntl numbering!

EDIT: I take that back, forgot about the radio channels being at the end of the Sky layout now.

It is officially happening on the 6th Sept. I have had no letter of anything on my bill about this.

Re: Channel ReShuffle

I have major issues and resevations of this channel conforming in my region.

1. Grimsby for some reason has always come under nottingham when channel transmition done. So we always seem to get central TV as our main ITv station and our proper ITV Yorkshire 751, its the same with our BBC 1. Now I am not bothered that this happened as I am not particularly fond of look north calender. They treat this area with contempt when reporting news. The problem lies we always had 2 ITV's and 2 BBC's regioned channels to cover the problem. I would like it be kept that way.

2. Grimsby have since the days of diamond always had our very own community channel broadcast Channel 7 which on digital is 925.

So do we assume this will no longer the case after the reshuffle. I am for the need to conform the platforms. However I would say other regions have issues such as ours.

I hope that what I read was roughly what is correct for the main would suffice for many regions with exceptions like us not losing out on channels we always recieved.
