Which is why I said they should be locked away and pretty much forgotten about for the rest of their lives.
They excluded themselves from society and civilisation by commiting such uncivilised crimes (we aren't the ancient greeks) and so should be treated as such.

As for DNA evidence, how do you know for certain that a dodgy policeman thinking he was doing the world a favour didn't plant it, or a mixup in the lap didn't occur?
I'd rather not send someone to their death and then find out later that they actually didn't do it.
I'd also rather not give someone the "easy way out" when life away from human contact in a small cell seems a much better punishment.

That's very strange. I have a contact within South Wales Police who claimed it was taken as read within the force that he was connected in some way.

This is parhaps a reason why suspects should not be named until they are found guilty

it has been on the local news tonight that a link has been found... in my street:erm:

I got this from my mother though and its breaking news so no link as yet...

A few years ago (like about 8) a 6 year old girl in my area was abducted, raped and left, much the same as this one. Police have been flying about round here and my mam said on the news that they were reporting it to be a link to the bath rape from tyneside.
I guess all will be revealed. It makes me sick.
