Ah yes Britec, who clearly states "who knows we can't tell the future" about whether this is going to come to all pc's.
You clearly didn't watch the video, just like you clearly seem to be incapable of reading or even answering a simple question. Again Why is Recall enabled on a PC that supposedly cannot support it? |

but Microsoft stated it can be removed and if they fail on that they will deserve all the crap they will get and rightly so |
Re: Windows 11 24H2 Oficially available for download
*sigh* chill out.
Window 10 is the last version I would consider. (if I were to ever use another version, after W7). While recall exists, Windows 11 will never get near any PC of mine. I dont care what they actually say will/wont happen, I dont trust them one inch. The future looks likely to be Linux, M$ have just lost the plot. I cant see why anyone would really want such an incredibly intrusive feature. |

It appears that the big Tech companies are desperately seeking to find a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist - they’ve spent tens of billions of dollars trying to create GenAI, and don’t appear to actually have a paying market for it. Another future cost is that of data centre growth required for Gen AI - see the Forbes article. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tiriasr...llion-by-2028/ Quote:

Re: Windows 11 24H2 Oficially available for download
I went back to 23H2 using a backupper image taken before the update. Had issues with video being choppy. I am guessing it as a GFX driver but just rolled back to a good config that just works for me. The driver on it dates back to Jan but works with everything I do

Re: Windows 11 24H2 Oficially available for download
Further update on the recall feature that is in all versions of 24H2.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZi_8VtFa-A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DfpX2scg00 And the joke video from Microsoft https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWDMJ_MHHCM It is installed and enabled as default and is Mandatory As yet those looking into this don't know why it is in all versions of 24H2, where it is and what it is doing. My question is WHY is it being installed on non copilot+ PC's if Microsoft know they as yet cannot run it. |
Re: Windows 11 24H2 Oficially available for download
Chris Titus infered that if you remove by creating a custom ISO then it just brakes the new File Explorer and you still have the old one. There are alternative file explorers you can use. There is a good chance a good one will be made by someone like Stardock for this very reason
|
Im sure someone will find a way of getting rid of that garbage!!
They cant think they can force spying trash on others computers and nothing can be done of it!!! (There are ppl out there smarter than they are!!) |

Re: Windows 11 24H2 Oficially available for download
But again the question is why are they installing it on machines that cannot run it and why is it enable by default. They claim it is opt in so if it is opt in why is it enabled as default ????
