Actually the opposite - I’m using ‘hard left’ deliberately instead of ‘Labour’ because it’s obvious that Starmer and a great many others in the party are appalled by Huq’s behaviour.

Huq supported Cooper, Smith and then Starmer in the last 3 leadership elections and there was a more left wing candidate at points.

I think it would probably be more appropriate, and less hyperbolic, to either recognise her actual intent or even if not that it’s an isolated problem within Labour. Rather than slur people on the left as if they all said it. That reasonable step however does the Conservatives no favours when they are on their knees.
