How safe it is though, I don't know...

It's all pretty safe as long as you don't act stupid, been twice myself (it's a good excuse to revisit Kiev...) Some friends watched the program and now want to go, so will likely be revisiting in the Autumn. Would like to go on the NPP tour (inside).

It was more interesting to visit before they put the new shield on. The scariest thing is when you drive past R4 and the geiger counter starts screaming - You realise just how shocking the radiation would have been at the time. Those BioRobots were Heroes in the true sense of the word.

The program was very well done, an unexpected treat. Skarsgard was great.
Did kinda expect Paul Ritter/Dyatlov to yell 'Oh, s****ing hell!' in Friday Night Dinner Stylee a couple of times, however... :)

Zero Hour is worth a watch for anyone who has a further interest;

I was blown away with this series and thought it was superb on so many levels. Quite rightly it has been nominated for 19 Emmys in various categories.

Why would there be a second season?

Re: Chernobyl

Didn't ever think there would have been a second series.

It told the story it needed to.

Re: Chernobyl

Good news, Chernobyl got best mini series at the Golden Globes and Stellan Skarsgård got best actor. He played Shcherbina who was the grumpy government liason and deputy head of the interior ministry or whatever it was.
