You're right in one respect; Political correctness is so out of control these day's, that some groups take offence at the slightest thing. And I doubt the BBC would have done an add like this to these groups

But it wasn't any of these other groups; it was Wales poking a bit of fun at the English. If some English people have lost the ability to laugh at themselves on occasions like this, then we are in a very sorry state indeed.

I get the humour and don't mind the type of humour I'm just not happy with the bbc doing this because they wouldn't do it to any other group it's not the humour i think people have a problem with it's the hypocrisy of the organisation that chose to use it.

Totally agree. This wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for other groups who don't want to get off theirs and the fact that the BBC wouldn't do this to pretty much any other group of people/country and would be at the forefront of denouncing anyone else who did.
