There were moves afoot to give Carers free bus passes.
The situation now is that a disabled person can have a free bus trip and the Carer travels free with them. But if it's a journey to school, for example, the Carer has to pay their own fare back home or wherever, then again to return to collect their charge later in the day. The mooted plan vanished shortly after election time of course. |

Every specific example of a situation where somebody has complained about something that happened to them, has been about VISITING, and absolutely nothing to do with being a carer. Even the Labour MP who brought the bill own example was about VISITING in general. |
