The old rock and a hard place. Either you increase taxes or increase cuts. Either way, people will suffer.

Don't get me wrong, I am not defending the rich. A few percent on VAT or income tax or £250 a week mansion tax isn't really going to hurt the average millionaire, let alone some of the billionaires we have, but it can mean the difference between a poor person feeding themselves or clothing their kids.

Then again, I know a few poor people who have no trouble spending >£100 on a pair of trainers or getting the latest mobile.

May find a confidence and supply minority government appears for a little while until that breaks down and another election is held.

Everyone vote independent or local party and then watch the "fun". No party in control.

Hard to read why Cameron wants the Greens in on the debate. Maybe so they can't complain they didn't get a proper voice. Maybe so he can reply with own green policies. Maybe to show they are really another left of centre group who would cost the average family money.

Likely to be to his advantage though.

I think it's pretty transparent.

They'll pull votes from those however many misguided souls who think Labour bear any resemblance to the Labour Party of old, just as UKIP will pull some votes from those who think the Conservative Party bear any resemblance to the Conservative Party of old.
