Re: New Year Revellers Face London Fireworks Charge
As you have been told before Arthur, many towns and cities charge for New Year vents now.
There are many reasons why a small charge is fine. It pays for all the extra staff, it pays for the clean up after the event and also goes towards funding the event itself, rather than it coming out of other funds or having to reserve a budget. It also helps keep it organised better and limits numbers putting less of a strain on transport networks. Stop whinging. Its not meant to have changed because they charge. |

it can be like the bin money then. we were already paying for it. but started being charged separately as well afterwards. that way people will understand why they're charging for it easier. |
Re: New Year Revellers Face London Fireworks Charge
Bin money?? What on earth are you talking about. Bin collection is part of the council tax.
Better the event be paid for in part by those attending rather than everyone eh? Mountain out of a molehill really. |
