Not many well known figures this year. I think Andy Murray has been overlooked to be honest. He might have been expected to wait until the end of his career but with Sir Bradley Wiggins getting one for winning the Tour de France then winning the US Open, a Gold Medal and Wimbledon should be enough as well.

I am also beginning to think Stephen Fry has turned down all honours since he has never been given one.

Why Andy Murray?

Can someone explain to me why the hell Karren Brady has been honoured in the honours list, what has she done apart from introducing that fool Osborne the other day.

I watched her on Tv yesterday praising David and the party for what they have achieved. Maybe she can sorry to all the unemployed in the area of East London which surrounds West Ham.

All her family are millionaires, What about the other people who should have an honour such as David Beckham, who is a great ambassador for Sport and Bruce Forsyth.

It makes me sick that Cameron has given 'prizes' of knighthoods to the donors of the Tory party. What about the people who really deserve nonours - or do they have to pay for it.

Arthur, rather than just spewing your bitter uneducated bile all the time, why not do a bit of research. Here I will help you.

She happens to be a very well respected business woman.

"Nonours" possibly the best Freudian slip ever.

He already has an OBE and a Knighthood.

Other than being made king or given a sainthood, I think he's done.

Again and ageain, l get riducukled over a comment that l have made.

There are much more deserving people in this country that are constanly overlooked.

My question was What has Karren Brady done to deserve an honour, yes she may be a big business person. BUT what has she done to deserve an award. When other people have been overlooked.

It's comments like this Arthur that provoke ridicule - if thats what you feel it is.

what has she done apart from introducing that fool Osborne the other day.

Well an awful lot if you read up on her
For example - Brady has also been named as ambassador for Barclays Lifeskills, which aims to offer young people workplace experience.

Maybe she can sorry to all the unemployed in the area of East London which surrounds West Ham.

Why, what has that got to do with her - she is probably generating employment in the area with the refurb of the Olympic Stadium for West Hams football ground

Isn't there talk of her standing for Tory MP at the next election or even London mayor as well, draw your own conclusions.

Arthur deserves an honour for all his cycling..

I mean work with the vulnerable..

Arthurgray50@blu 01-01-2014 19:48

Re: New Year's Honours Lists

I work with a lot of vulnerable people and l am proud of it, l dont deserve a medal - its all the people that are on the streets of the UK, and the people that have been hit by Camerons party cutbacks that deserve a medal - never minf 2015 will see him kick out.

Its so funny that he is trying to tell the Scottish what to, Scots cannot wait to see the back of him.
