Pull up to drop off or collect passengers in front of Cardiff Wales Airport, and you pay £1 to get out, often for less than a minute.

Same at Stansted:mad: after 5 mins it goes up to £3.

When I pick family up I park around the corner where I used to work and wait for a call.

Not quite - 50p for 3 minutes x 20 (for an hour) = £10; that's over double the £4.40.

When we went to see our sister a while back in London there was no way we could take the car as it was too expensive to park every day so that's why we went by train as it proved much cheaper.

It may just be local to me, but every time the parking fees go up "to convince people to use buses and trains", the fares for buses and trains go up making it cheaper to use the car again!

Some parking in the North East is a penny per minute. IIRC there's a few in South Shields.

I will always take the car everywhere, no matter what the expense (unless alcohol is involved).
I hate public transport, it's not reliable enough. It's as simple as that.
