What is the real possibility of a person losing their job because of this? If someone did get fired, then shame on that person doing the firing, especially at this time of year. ;)

All the shame in the world on the employer wouldn't get that person another job in time for Christmas.

But again, if you can live with that on your conscience then all well and good.
