Randomizing new tiers doesn't make them real....

To be fair to them I have also heard that 200/20 is close. But I guess you will see

200 is a nice round number for Virgin to promote and sounds much more impressive than say 150 or 18. 300 is probably pushing it far though, so for all intents and purposes, the next bigger tier probably will be 200.

You never know with Virgin Media. They might surprise us sooner. Have they completed doubled speed/120 Meg roll out yet?

While within range, that's actually far from "perfect". What are the full stats to your modem? For every channel, up and down - we need to see the lot.

These are mine.

0.85 -0.44 -0.30 -0.49 -0.40 -0.51 -0.59 -0.81

not sure if they are any good or not.

Given it's 30-60-120 now, do you really think they'll choose to go 30-60-120-200 instead of, say, 30-60-120-240? After all, "the competition" is "selling" 300.

Well there is that, it depends on how Virgin wants to do it. They seemed to go to a lot of effort to consolidate the 50/100 tiers into just one 120Mbit tier so for all we know, they'll up everyone to say 50/100/200. That would certainly put the willies up a lot of FTTC and each tier would be directly comparable (50 beats 40, 100 beats 80 and 200 just takes the ****).

Heh, but wasn't that the whole idea behind the current speeds already? 30 was supposed to be comparable to 40 on FTTC, 60 to 80, and 120 just taking the ****.

Yeah probably, but they're comparable in that they fall a little short. Upping to the other way means Virgin seems faster (on paper and before STM, at least).

This does look like a very probable route in my eyes
