But I wasn't comparing anything in my post that you replied to; hence the confusion.

To clear this up I hope.

You thought that the total TiVo users was minus the total users of Virgin. Yes

As I moan alot about what my V+ does that my TiVo does not Etc. I thought you would have clicked that I for one have both. Hence the comment. Sorry I was not clearer :)

No problem. Sometimes I can get the complicated stuff but not the easy stuff. And sometimes I get neither :D

It's easy to get a celeb to the right house when other customers are badly let down. One of my clients waited in all day yesterday finally to be told it was too late to install her TiVo's - and no, they couldn't do it today so now she has to wait until Monday.
She is also having the superhub and has been a long time faithful customer of this shower - I wonder how long she will put up with this?:td::td::td:

Of course it is as that's a one-off special event

And what about all those customers that aren't let down? You know, the ones where the install goes perfectly well but we don't hear about it?

No reason to think that's not the norm; which is why we hear so much when installs don't go according to plan.

No problem with any install done with in the last 5 years, earlier yes.( one & one only )

Every job has been on time , the fitter helpful, clean and tidy.

Don't be so silly. You don't come on a forum to say nothing unusual happened today! My client was inconvenienced and let down and I was also on standby so we both had our time wasted. I'm not going to argue with you about this. I'm saying it isn't good enough and running along side the 1000000th installation gave it a certain extra element of frustration.

Does anyone still use there silver tivo remote (Special VM Customers)

They did http://www.pocket-lint.com/news-gall...ds-on/17#image

I've never seen a mention of the silver remote before, does it exist?

How long have they had "1TB" stickers on the boxes? I have to admit that whilst the gold box looks a bit cheap, the gold remote looks very good indeed.

I've never heard of special customers being given silver remotes? Some people got remotes with their names printed on the side but that was the only difference, apart from that just the standard VM TiVo remote.

If you look at the pictures, I think they only got a black remote but:

We also put it up against the chrome VM TiVo remote that was created near the beginning of the service's introduction for VIPs and celebrities, and it fits right in.

Yes. That was precisely my point. VM are doing 100s of installs a day. How many "bad" ones are posted about every day? It's not even one a week!

I don't disagree that a bad install and be annoying/frustrating, etc. That wasn't the point though :)
