Re: 100Mb/VMNG300/SuperHub
Once again they are lieing their asses off to try and get you on the shub. The speed you get provisioned for is independant of what the modem is capable of. If you activated the shub you would still be on 100/5.
I have been on 100/10 from day 1 and the vmng300 handles the speed superbly. Speed tests always give me full speed and seeding torrents always maxes out at around 1.15mb/sec. VM know the vmng300 can handle 10mbit and more because they are having firmware written to enable 2 bonded upstream channels. Keep your vmng300 and dump the shub |
Re: 100Mb/VMNG300/SuperHub
Im on the 100/10 package with the VMNG300 and can safely say it works fine. Full speeds achieved on both download and upload.

Re: 100Mb/VMNG300/SuperHub
Decided to give them a phone again after reading your post Max, lass on the other end had me on and off hold for about an hour. At the end up said it's probably because my area hasn't completed doubling yet (as far as i know glenrothes was complete months ago) and to keep an eye on that double speed site as they can't change to the 100mb package with 10 up until it says it there as they use it to check... conveniently that site's down. No mention of a shub whatsoever.
Pain in the bum considering i specifically asked for that package originally back in March ish and was told the 10mb up would be active in 24hrs, when really they put me on xxl. |
Re: 100Mb/VMNG300/SuperHub
they do the doubling to the downstream as each area's upgrade work is completed. The upstream is a different story because they have to enable upstream channel bonding and add more capacity. All their efforts thus far have been to upgrade the downstream because that is the connection speed they advertise. Nobody is going to have their upstream doubled until the entire rollout is completed. I know some people have mentioned Q4 of this year but I am thinking next summer.
Weird how I understand and know more about this than the ming mongs on the end of the phone isn't it? |
