Modric, Bale and VDV can't leave anyway, they are all on long term contracts, and IF Levy say's they aren't going, then they won't - remember we are no longer a feeder club.

Bale £80million (and thats cheap)

If Carroll is worth £35million, then thats the figure above.

I agree that Bale is worth a lot of money but maybe not £80 million.
