this year does seem a pretty good one with shows like The Borgias , Game of thrones , Blue Bloods returning plus new shows like House of lies , Luck , Game change plus many more.

Yes, this has now got serious; the return of Kristen Bell (Heroes, Veronica Mars) to a decent TV show. We need Atlantic :D

In the case of Game of thrones at a cost of 27.99 on DVD or 36.99 Hi Def , I'll stick to watching it included in my tv pack 365 days earlier ;)

Yep, these types of shows are still too expensive on DVD/BR.

I rang to cancel Sky today and was basically told NO F1-HD and NO SKY ATLANTIC anywhere else in 2012. Now if this is a lie it would be the first time Sky have lied to me.

Virginmedia lied to me when I left and they told me Sky Atlantic would be on the network with 6 weeks ( 2 DAYS AFTER IT LAUNCHED ON SKY AND STILL NOT ON VM)

They also told me the itv2hd/3hd/4hd contracts were for 12 months only but they still aren't on VM:D

I'm sorry, but having Sky CS saying "no-one else is getting it yet" is no different to VM CS saying "We're getting it soon". Neither of them will know and they won't be privy to any "ongoing discussions". When I saw the title I thought that some news had been announced - the only concrete was the wall that I banged my head off after reading your post.

Well said that man. Sky Customer Service will know no more than what has been officially announced, nor will Virgin Media CS.
Incidentally, this week sees the first anniversary of the launch of Sky Atlantic (Feb 1) and the following week has Virgin Media's Full Year and Q4 2011 Results and Strategy Update on Feb 8th. If there is going to be any carriage announcement for Atlantic expect it in the next few days.

Hopefully your right but personally I can't see it , everywhere you look it's advertised as exclusive , still I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

Hmmmmm. I don't think they've been calling it exclusive to Sky for a while now have they? Recently I've heard the channel described as the exclusive home of hbo stuff, but that would continue to be the case even if it appeared on other platforms.

Watch the adverts , below Sky Atlantic it says only available on Sky channel 108 , granted that could change and will do no doubt at some point not sure as early as February though.

Don't sound so pessimistic for us Virgin viewers as there is plenty that we have got that the dark side has not got.:)
