Unfortunately can not have sky due to the height of trees out the back, but I have a freeview recorder, but it's limited to recording one channel.

Shame. You can get freeview boxes with twin tuners,I have onr myself. You can record two channels at the same time whilst watching a recorded one or record one channel whilst watching another `live`.
